Write for us
We welcome pitches that help readers notice how community connection is shaped: by a room's layout, a gathering's format, a useful exchange or the ways people are invited to take part. Contributions should be original, specific and grounded in details a general reader can understand.
What makes a good pitch
Send a brief outline of the central idea, the reader it serves and the details that make it distinct. A strong pitch asks a clear question or makes a focused comparison, then shows how the piece will answer it. Explain what you can contribute without claiming expertise or access you do not have.
The shape of a piece
We are interested in explainers, comparisons, thoughtful histories, myth-checking and occasion-based pieces. Keep the scope manageable and the language direct. Avoid unsupported generalisations about what all communities need, and do not include private details about people or groups without appropriate permission.
How to send an idea
Use the Contact page to send your proposal and choose the editorial enquiry option. Include a working title, a short summary and any relevant context. A pitch is a proposal, not a guarantee of publication; we may ask for a narrower focus or further clarification.
Connection is made of small, visible choices
A clear invitation, a place to pause and room for different ways to take part can change the feel of a shared occasion.
